Gweru – All roads lead to Mutapa Hall this coming Friday as Pastor Charles Charamba and his wife, Mai Charamba will be performing live in a family show.
Pastor Charamba and his gospel outfit, Fishers of Men, are expected to hold an explosive gospel show scheduled to start at 12 noon until 10pm. This is the first time the musician had held shows in Gweru that last until late hours. In an interview with Varsity Voice recently, the promoter of the show, Mr Weston Mutisi said the slot of the show is aimed at accommodating fans that will be coming from work. As usual Pastor Charamba will be supported by his wife, Amai Olivia Charamba in a show that is expected to attract hundreds of his legion of fans. Pastor Charamba rose to stardom in the gospel music circles with the release of his debut album Jahanne 3vs16 in 1999, which carried the hit song, mhinduro iripo. Hit songs such as Buruka, komborerai vana, Musavasarudze, among others are expected to bless his multitudes of fans. Amai Charamba will spice up the show with her golden oldies such as Rute, I must work, among others. Pastor Charamba resigned from being a full-time pastor at Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) in Harare to concentrate on his music career as a musician in 2007. This has seen the gospel maestro touring various parts of the country and crossing national borders preaching the word of God through music. |
