Transport Notice for the Official Opening of the Incubation Hub

Notice to all University students and staff

The newly established University Incubation Hub will be officially opened by His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe and Chancellor of the Midlands State University on the 6th of June 2018. The ceremony will be held at the Graduate School of Business Leadership, Faculties of Law and Commerce Campus. Guests are expected to be seated by 0900hrs.

For all members of staff and students wishing to participate, please note, transport will be provided at the following pick up points starting from 0730hrs:

Students who stay in and around Gweru are cordially invited to attend the official opening of the Midlands State University Incubation Hub on Wednesday, 6 June 2018. Transport will be available to ferry students from town to the University and back starting at 0900 hours at the Midlands Hotel. Students are required to confirm their attendance for the University to make catering and transport arrangements. Confirm your attendance by contacting any one of the following Staff Members;

THE PRESIDENTIAL YOUTH ENGAGEMENT MEETING

There is going to be a Presidential Youth Engagement Meeting on Thursday 31 May 2018 in Mkoba at the open space opposite Mkoba Teachers College. Midlands State University students are invited to attend this very important engagement meeting with His Excellency the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe in His capacity as the Chancellor of all State universities. Please note that examination papers which are scheduled to be written on 31st May 2018 shall proceed as planned. The above stated invitation therefore, is open to students who will not be writing exams on the day. For those who will be free, there will be some hired buses in both Gweru and Zvishavane campuses to ferry students to and from the engagement meeting venue. The pick-up points and times for the hired buses will be announced in due course. By copy of this Memo, members of the SRC, Class Reps and Sub-Wardens under the guidance of the Dean of Students are kindly requested to assist in the coordination and organization of the student travel for this event.

All unregistered students are being advised to clear previous semester(s)’ fees and register on-line before end of day on Sunday, 13 May 2018. Visit the e-learning platform and register once you clear previous semester(s)’ fees. Unregistered Government sponsored students must visit the Registration Office before end of day on Friday, 11 May 2018.

Students who proceed to write examinations before seeing previous semester(s)’ results will be doing so at their own risk
