MSU hosts Japanese Professor
 
In a development that highlights the extent to which the Midlands State University endeavors to continuously improve the quality of teaching and learning in the institution; the University recently played host to renowned Japanese academic, Professor Takehiko Ito at the Graduate School of Business Leadership.
 
Professor Ito, who is an Associate Dean at the Nagoya University of Commerce Business School in Japan, came to MSU at the invitation of the Faculty of Commerce and delivered lectures to students in the Faculty’s critically acclaimed Graduate School of Business Leadership.
In an interview with personnel from the Information and Public Relations Office, Professor Ito highlighted that the focus of his lectures was to impart knowledge on current trends in business leadership from an Asian as well as a global perspective, based on his personal experiences and cognisant of the fact that Japan and China are among the world’s highly industrialized nations.
 
The renowned academic, who has also held lecture sessions at the University of Stellenbosch Business School in South Africa, expressed satisfaction at the level of interest and participation displayed by MSU students and made special mention of the high standard of intellectual acumen shown by the students.

Professor Ito will return to MSU later in the year for another lecture session in a development that is sure to widen the scope and understanding of students in issues to do with business leadership.
