Ms Mamelo Mavingire is the University’s first female Bursar. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Accounting and a Master of Commmerce in Accounting, both obtained from the Midlands State University. She is a member of Certified Public Accountants (CPA), Public Accountants and Auditors Board (PAAB) and is in the final stages of attaining her Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualification.
Ms Mavingire began her professional career with the Midlands State University in 2007, when she joined the Bursar’s Department as an Administrative Assistant in the Planning and Control Office. She was then promoted to Assistant Bursar in September of the same year, a position she held until January 2012. In February 2012, Ms Mavingire left MSU to join Chinhoyi University of Technology as Deputy Bursar in charge of Planning and Projects, a position she held until her appointment as the Midlands State University Bursar, on 1 December 2012.
