Mrs Nyarai Macheka is the Librarian of the Midlands State University. She is a holder of the Higher National Diploma in Library and Information Science obtained from Harare Polytechnic; the Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies; and the Master of Science in Library and Information Science of the National University of Science and Technology.

Mrs Nyarai Macheka’s work experience was wholly spent at Midlands State University. She joined the University in 2000 at the grade of Senior Library Assistant and rose through the ranks of Senior Assistant Librarian, Sub Librarian, Deputy Librarian and Acting Librarian before she became the University Librarian on 24 April 2009.

Mrs Macheka is a past president of the Rotary Club of Gweru and is still a member of the Club.
