- The Minister chairs the Minister of Legal and Constitutional Affairs Committee.
- Convenes disciplinary hearings in cases of misconduct by Council members
- Represent the members of the union in all disciplinary hearing proceedings
- Advise the Union on all legal and constitutional matters
- Carry out investigations on alleged breaches of legal and constitutional matters
