Mission
The Student Development Office serves the broader academic mission of the Midlands State University through programs and services that enrich the learning environment outside the classroom. To office strives to that produces innovative and enterprising graduates through quality educational programs and valuable social networking opportunities in preparation for lifelong living and learning.

The Student Development Office coordinates services, programs and experiences designed to encourage discovery, reflection and self-awareness across a broad spectrum of met curricular arena. The Student Development Office has a vision to offer opportunities, which promote personal well being, professional competency, leadership and development of students. Student Development Office forges a sense of community by providing opportunities for social interaction and student participation in community life and governance. The office provides a variety of educational, cultural and entertainment oriented events for the entire University community in and throughout campus.
The department’s primary ambition is to offer students access to an array of opportunities, which expose them to information, ideas, skills and worldviews that support and challenge their evolving identities. Clubs and Societies on campus are the main focus that the office utilizes in developing a well-rounded student that contributes positively to the campus ant to the community.
Members of the Office of Student Development work closely with student organizations and Student Government.
