Experience in various medical settings:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker with clinical practice with individuals and families in trauma, loss and grief, stress management, family violence, parenting, sexual assault, drug and substance abuse, relationship and family work, community health, palliative /hospice care and child protection issues.
- Skills in supportive counselling, trauma debriefing, mediation, family reunification, grief counselling, end-of-life care, problem-solving, cognitive restructuring, family therapy, advocacy, person-centred approach, group work and community work.
- Working in the palliative care sector has helped me to resonate with how patients feel and improve their quality of life through psychosocial support and bereavement care.
